Erin Hackney has been a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist working in the Central Ontario region of Canada since 2002.
During this time, she has helped many horses to overcome performance-related issues through the application of therapeutic massage and stretching techniques.
An avid horse lover, equestrian, owner, and trainer, Erin has an excellent practical knowledge of all aspects of horsemanship. She has almost 20 years of experience in a wide range of disciplines, with horses of all ages, breeds, and levels of soundness, which gives her a unique insight into the care and management of all horses, regardless of type.
Erin has worked successfully with many horses at the top levels of competition, helping to maintain optimal muscle function so they can perform at their best, with marked results. She has also worked with many so-called "problem" horses, helping to relieve pain that in many cases is the cause of an unwanted behaviour. She has helped horses with chronic lameness such as arthritis, torn ligaments, bone chips, and more to continue to live comfortable, happy lives, and to succeed to the best of their abilities.
Erin has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and is always interested in learning new things. She is constantly updating her knowledge through courses, classes, practical "hands-on" learning, and private home study. Her open-minded approach to horsemanship has allowed her to develop a very natural, intuitive way of communication with animals. She is truly passionate about the work she does, and she has had great success because of this.
Erin is currently accepting new clients in the Central Ontario region. To set up an appointment, please feel free to call or email (address and telephone number can be found on the CONTACT page).
